One gets the sense of an ironic Mary Shelley writing about the peripheral projections and constructions taking place in the woods just behind the local shopping mall. While the formal grace & fluidity of the work gives the compositions unity, Denise Carson Wilde has just as importantly managed to combine a childlike sense of whimsy, along with a fully grown up sense of rueful humour and loss.
