Denise Carson Wilde studied studio arts (majoring in painting & printmaking) at Capilano University in North Vancouver, B.C. 1976-1978; In 1979 she founded Winter Lily Press (a letter press studio) and won numerous graphic design awards. In 1992 she studied printmaking in Italy. In 1996 she was invited to St. Micheals Print shop in Newfoundland as Visiting Artist in Residence. During 98/01 she participated in the Institute Program for Printmakers at Capilano College. In 1986 she created the popular store The Original Paper-Ya Co. on Granville Island Vancouver, which she co-owned for 30 years, until 2016. She now paints full time and lives on Gabriola Island and in Vancouver, BC Canada.
